My name is David Shelton, and I created this page as a tribute to my son Justin, who died on January 11, 2022 at the age of 26 due to a heroin overdose and to my son Ryan who I also lost to overdose in February of 2014…I have been a sportswriter since 1988 and have spent most of time covering high school sports. I also serve as a volunteer baseball coach at Cane Bay High School in Summerville SC….my mission in life is to speak to our youth and hopefully help them avoid the pitfalls of opioid drug use.
